  Dr. Z. Randall Stroope is widely known as a conductor, lecturer, and composer. He is the Artistic Director of a summer music festival in England, and frequently conducts in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Washington National Cathedral and other well-known venues in the United States.

Choral groups under his direction have taken thirty-five national tours and fifteen international tours, including China, Japan, Russia, Sweden, the Baltics, Finland, and central Europe, England, Canada, and South Africa. He is constantly sought after as a lecturer and guest conductor, headlining summer ACDA conventions in twelve states and conducting twenty All-State choirs.

Dr. Stroope studied composition with Cecil Effinger and Normand Lockwood, both students of Nadia Boulanger. Stroope has published 80 musical works, and has sold over a million and a half copies of music.

His many duties include Director of Choral Activities at Rowan University, conducting the Concert Choir, Statesmen Men’s Chorus, Women’s Choir and undergraduate/graduate conducting. Dr. Stroope resides in New Jersey with his wife Cheryl (a middle school choral music director).
